Apple's RF Transmitter Systems Engineering team is seeking a passionate individual to contribute to innovative RF solutions for wireless products. The role involves collaborating with various engineering teams to drive transmitter concepts focused on high performance and quality. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies that shape the mobile market. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cellular RF systems and a strong analytical mindset.

Requirements

  • BS degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience are required.
  • Knowledge of cellular radio/3GPP standards including GSM, UMTS, LTE, LTE-A, and 5G NR is essential.
  • Experience with hardware and software co-design and understanding of trade-offs between digital hardware and firmware implementations is necessary.
  • Strong analytical skills and proactive use of AI tools are required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in RF, including cellular transmit architectures, or a PhD degree with previous work on cellular topics is needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, specify, and drive transmitter concepts with a focus on leading-edge performance.
  • Collaborate closely with architecture, systems engineering, RF design, and software teams.
  • Translate top-level PHY and RF requirements into specifications for transceiver architecture.
  • Dimension digital control systems for RF applications, including CPU, memory, and real-time constraints.
  • Deliver differentiating transmit architectures and solutions for Apple's wireless products.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
