The Senior System Validation Engineer for the Pixel Watch at Google is responsible for leading the system validation strategy for next-generation products. This role involves driving the transition from prototyping to mass production while ensuring peak system performance. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks during early design stages. The position requires expertise in automation and data analysis to address complex system-level issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in a consumer electronics technical environment, or 3 years with an advanced degree.
- Experience in Python, MATLAB, or Perl, with architectural experience in developing test suites and automating system and hardware validations.
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in Design of Experiments (DOE) derivation and statistical analysis.
Responsibilities
- Identify coverage gaps between Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and validation plans.
- Define and execute comprehensive Critical User Journey (CUJ) test cases.
- Own end-to-end stress testing and lead initial debugging and root-cause analysis.
- Replicate complex failures to isolate specific signatures and collaborate across functional teams.
- Integrate AI technologies into the validation ecosystem for Google consumer products.
