Job description
Apple is looking for a signal integrity engineer to join the system technology team within the Datacenter organization. The role focuses on supporting system-level signal integrity design, analysis, and validation for data center products. The candidate will engage in concept development, rapid prototyping, and provide guidance during the design execution phase. Collaboration with System Design and HW Validation teams is essential to ensure robust system integration and validation.
Requirements
- M.S. degree with relevant industry-level work experience or a Ph.D. with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience.
- Deep knowledge of system-level SerDes design and analysis skills.
- Familiarity with all aspects of signal integrity for high-speed SerDes, parallel bus, and single-ended signaling.
- Measurement expertise with frequency and time domain tools, including VNA and TDR.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Support system-level signal integrity design, analysis, and validation for data center products.
- Conduct pathfinding studies during the silicon development phase and provide feedback to the silicon and packaging teams.
- Work closely with System Design teams to develop detailed signal integrity strategies and guidelines.
- Collaborate with HW Validation teams to create test suites for system-level validation.
- Provide ongoing support through the project design process, including system pathfinding and verification stages.
