The Operations Reliability Engineer role at Apple focuses on ensuring the reliability of new technology components and products. • 5+ years of experience performing reliability testing including Mechanical Stress tests, Environmental & Fatigue testing, and experience in Failure Analysis techniques.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering such as Mechanical, Electrical, Reliability, Materials, Optical, or Industrial.
• Master's or PhD in Engineering such as Mechanical, Electrical, Reliability, Materials, Optical, or Industrial.
• Strong understanding of the physics behind material properties and failure analysis methodology.
• Knowledge of reliability models, accelerated test models, and industry test standards.
• Deep understanding of Design of Experiments and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis.
• Strong statistical and data analytics skills.

• Guide development and operations teams toward generating reliable designs for new technology components.
• Identify high-risk failure modes early in the design life cycle.
• Use engineering knowledge to find the best path toward mitigation before ramp.
• Communicate clearly and consistently, including executive level presentations.
• Drive cross-functional teams to achieve reliability objectives.
