Job description

The Siri's Runtime Platform team is seeking a resourceful software engineer to develop the next generation of natural interaction platforms for Apple's devices. This role focuses on advancing the distributed system logic that enables Siri to respond seamlessly to user requests. The engineer will work in a dynamic environment, leveraging new technologies to enhance intelligent assistant capabilities. A strong emphasis will be placed on creating sophisticated simulation environments and evaluation datasets to rigorously test system policies.

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Strong expertise in Swift, Objective-C, or C++ programming languages
  • Solid experience in software development with contributions to code, code reviews, and design reviews
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, particularly in Concurrency, Distributed Systems, and API design
  • Experience working with large-scale data evaluation or simulation frameworks
  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering
  • Expertise in design patterns
  • Experience contributing to shipping platforms or products to production and supporting them post-launch
  • Experience driving technical decision-making and software development from product definition to ship for multiple products
  • Familiarity with data modeling and algorithmic policy design

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance the distributed system logic for Siri's interaction capabilities
  • Create sophisticated simulation environments to model and test system policies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify and resolve dependencies
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of new features for Siri
