Job description
The Creativity Apps team at Apple is looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to build a new web application from scratch. This role involves setting the direction and architecture of the application while collaborating with designers, QA teams, and other cross-functional partners. The engineer will be responsible for bringing the application to production readiness and ensuring it is scalable and maintainable. A strong understanding of both backend and frontend technologies is preferred to influence various aspects of the project.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of proven experience shipping scalable, maintainable, and testable code to user-facing production
- Deep experience with one or more MVC web frameworks, Java, Python, Ruby, Redis, and Kubernetes/DevOps
- Experience with frontend technologies such as React, Typescript, Tailwind, and HTML/CSS
- Working knowledge of web security and vulnerabilities
