Job description

The RFIC Layout Designer will be a key member of the Wireless SoC Radio Team, focusing on the design and layout of custom RF and analog IP for complex SoC products. This role involves working closely with the RFIC design team to bring next-generation wireless technologies into high-volume production using advanced CMOS technology nodes. The team is dedicated to developing state-of-the-art energy-efficient CMOS radios that enhance user experience. The position requires collaboration with a vertically integrated engineering team across various disciplines.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related experience in custom RF/analog layout for radio transceivers.
  • Extensive knowledge of deep sub-micron CMOS technology.
  • High proficiency in interpreting CALIBRE DRC, ERC, LVS in FinFet Technology.
  • Knowledge of Cadence layout tools.
  • Understanding of layout techniques for device matching, minimizing parasitics, RF shielding, and high frequency routing.
  • Solid understanding of RC delay, electromigration, and coupling.
  • Knowledge of guard rings, DNW, PN junctions, and advanced process effects such as LOD and WPE.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Scripting skills in PERL or SKILL.
