Job description

As a Software Engineer on the Siri Home Devices team, you will contribute to the development of virtual assistant technologies for Apple TV and HomePod. The role involves building Siri across iOS and tvOS software stacks, collaborating with various teams to enhance user experiences. You will work on complex challenges that integrate software into everyday life, while receiving support and mentorship from senior engineers. This position offers opportunities for growth and ownership of larger features and architectural contributions.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience shipping iOS or tvOS software in production
  • Proficiency in Swift with strong software design fundamentals
  • Experience building UI with UIKit and/or SwiftUI
  • Ability to work onsite at Apple Park in Cupertino, CA three days per week
  • Experience in voice assistant technologies or conversational AI systems
  • Experience with automated testing including Swift Testing, XCTest, and XCUITest
  • Experience with performance profiling related to latency, memory, and responsiveness

Responsibilities

  • Build Siri across both the iOS and tvOS software stacks from UI down to the frameworks
  • Collaborate with teams across the Siri stack to create engaging user experiences
  • Participate in design reviews, pairing sessions, and code reviews with senior engineers
  • Take ownership of larger features and architectural contributions as you grow
  • Systematically debug and resolve software issues in a mixed codebase
