Job description
This role at Apple involves working with engineering teams to enhance the Metal framework and related tools. Requirements
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- Experience utilizing the C, C++, and ObjC language family to resolve issues in codebase.
- Experience with 3D graphics APIs including DirectX, OpenGL, Vulkan, or Metal for 3D rendering.
- Experience utilizing Python for high-level code processing duties.
- Experience designing and implementing new rendering solutions within an established graphic engine.
- Experience optimizing C, C++ CPU code to meet performance guidelines.
- Experience utilizing GIT for source code management.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve features and quality of the Metal framework.
- Write sample code and provide it to third-party developers for performance optimization.
- Host third-party developers onsite to guide them on optimizing memory, GPU, and CPU performance.
- Evaluate third-party software and prepare performance, quality, and feature analysis.
- Implement prototype plug-ins and abstractions for third-party game engines.
