Job description

The Image Quality & Qualification team at Apple is seeking an experienced manager to enhance the iPhone camera experience. This role focuses on understanding and developing innovative camera features that improve photo and video quality. The candidate will actively participate in quality evaluations and provide feedback to engineering teams. A passion for photography and videography, along with strong technical skills, is essential for success in this fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Imaging, Color, Vision Computer, Optics Science, or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of imaging systems, including camera sensors, optics, image signal processors, and computational photography techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

  • Drive photo and video image quality by shaping the future of Apple's cameras.
  • Manage and participate in quality evaluations for new features and algorithms through experimental studies.
  • Provide direct feedback to engineering teams based on quality evaluations.
  • Understand and enable innovative camera features that contribute to various camera technologies.
