Job description

The Siri Quality Engineering team is looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to develop and maintain automated test frameworks and tools for Siri. This role involves collaborating with a multi-functional team to ensure the quality and reliability of Siri's user experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for quality assurance and a solid background in programming. You will play a crucial role in shaping and improving products that delight millions of Apple customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in software quality assurance.
  • Strong programming and software design skills, preferably in Swift and/or Python.
  • Excellent knowledge of test methodologies, including functional unit tests and non-functional exploratory testing.
  • Experience in building automated UI and non-UI tests for user-facing applications or system frameworks.
  • BA/BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and tools for Siri.
  • Lead all aspects of shipping world-class user experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with Software Development and QA engineers, architects, and program managers.
  • Proactively triage, investigate, and debug technical and UX problems.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve and enhance system reliability and performance.
