Job description
The GPU Physical Verification engineer will be part of the Silicon Technologies group, focusing on designing and manufacturing high-performance, power-efficient GPUs. This role combines strategic engineering with hands-on technical work, ensuring physical design verification from early planning to tapeout. The engineer will collaborate closely with the Physical Design team to streamline methodologies and resolve design issues. This position requires effective communication with cross-functional teams to achieve back-end design goals.
Requirements
- BS degree with 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with hierarchical design approach and top-down design.
- Familiarity with Physical Verification checks such as DRC, ERC, LVS, and ESD.
- Proficiency in P&R flows and Physical Verification tools like Calibre.
- Experience integrating IP from internal and external vendors.
- Knowledge of Physical Design topics including multiple voltage domains and mixed signal block integration.
- Experience with large subsystem designs exceeding 20M gates and frequencies over 1GHz.
- Understanding of GPU architecture and design units.
Responsibilities
- Drive physical verification aspects throughout the design cycle.
- Develop guidelines and checklists to streamline physical design work.
- Manage and resolve design and flow issues related to physical design.
- Identify potential solutions and drive execution for design challenges.
- Communicate the needs of Physical Design Verification with cross-functional teams.
