Job description
As a Native Platform Engineer on the Maps Developer Platform team at Apple, you will work at the intersection of system frameworks, developer tooling, and cartographic technology. Your role will involve building APIs and tools that enhance the Apple Maps Developer experience. You will take new features from conceptualization through design and implementation, culminating in announcements at Apple's Developer Conference. Additionally, you will collaborate with various clients to create impactful mapping solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
- At least 2+ years of software engineering experience in a production environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Swift and/or Objective-C.
- Familiarity with SwiftUI and/or UIKit.
- Experience writing testable code and familiarity with unit testing frameworks.
- At least 6 years of full-time relevant work experience.
- Familiarity with system architecture and API design.
- Proven track record of architecting, developing, releasing, and supporting critically important software components.
- Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or other spatial visualization systems.
