Job description

This role is focused on building transparency infrastructure that ensures the security and privacy of Apple products. The team is small but impactful, tackling complex challenges in verifiable key transparency and privacy-preserving infrastructure. The engineer will work on backend systems that provide cryptographic proof of data security for billions of users. A strong emphasis is placed on reliability, security, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Requirements

  • At least 3+ years of backend software engineering experience
  • Experience in Java, Go, C#, or similar languages
  • Experience in building large scale, highly available application services
  • Good understanding of multi-threading, non-blocking I/O, and client-server development
  • Experience with applied cryptography
  • Understanding of transparency systems such as key transparency and certificate transparency
  • Experience with distributed database systems such as Cassandra

Responsibilities

  • Cover all aspects of the software development lifecycle including feature exploration, architectural design, development, testing, and operations
