The Display Technologies Organization at Apple is seeking an engineer to develop new display and optical module architectures for future products. This role involves working in a fast-paced, highly technical team at Apple's Module Technology Center. The engineer will be responsible for designing complex R&D equipment and validating systems while collaborating with cross-functional engineers. A hands-on approach and versatility across various tasks are essential for success in this collaborative environment.

• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with a minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
• Experience with mechanical design in CAD systems such as Solidworks, NX, or AutoCAD.
• Experience in complex equipment system design, assembly, testing, and validation.
• Experience with precision motion systems, vacuum systems, and machine imaging and sensing systems.
• Experience troubleshooting equipment issues by identifying root causes and implementing solutions.
• PhD degree with 3+ years or MS degree with 5+ years of experience in a related field preferred.
• Good technical communication skills to clearly articulate design features and challenges.
• Flexibility and collaboration skills to work in a fast-paced lab environment.
• Attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to produce high-quality results.
• Proven track record of bringing novel equipment designs from R&D to scalable solutions.
• AI/ML experience to enhance mechanical design, data analysis, or training models.
• Programming skills in Python, C++, or Labview for system controls and algorithms.
• Well-organized with clear communication of technical results to executive management.
