Job description
As a Display Electrical Design Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for designing and building advanced mobile display modules that prioritize performance, quality, and reliability. You will drive projects from concept through to volume manufacturing, collaborating with both internal and external teams to create innovative solutions. Your work will directly influence the user experience for millions of customers. This role requires creativity and a strong technical background in display technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 3 years of industry experience.
- Experience with PCB design including component selection, schematic capture, and layout.
- Experience using circuit simulation tools such as HSPICE or Spectre.
- Experience with prototype IC or PCB bring-up, validation, and failure analysis.
- Experience with coding or scripting in Python, Matlab, or similar tools.
- Experience in module or system design and architecture focused on defining detailed electrical specifications.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams on multi-disciplinary hardware designs.
- Experience in power management, analog and mixed-signal circuit design.
- Experience in display technology such as LCD, OLED, DLP, LCOS, or e-paper.
- Experience with PCB simulations for power distribution network, signal integrity, power integrity, crosstalk, and EMI/EMC.
- Ability to travel internationally up to 10% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Drive display module electrical design requirements from concept to mass production.
- Contribute to the overall module architecture including custom silicon requirements.
- Define validation plans and manage vendors to ensure high-quality product output.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team to design new products using state-of-the-art display technology.
