Job description

The role is for a Validation Engineer within the Silicon Engineering group, focusing on power hardware validation and analysis of SoC workloads. The team is responsible for designing state-of-the-art ASICs and aims to optimize power and performance for mobile SoCs. The engineer will collaborate closely with design, architecture, systems, and software teams to drive power optimization efforts. This position offers the opportunity to integrate innovative ideas and contribute to functional products that enhance customer experiences.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Phenomenal programming skills in C/Assembly and associated tool chains.
  • Understanding of low-power digital design and power fundamentals.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team.

Responsibilities

  • Measure in silicon power dissipation of typical workloads and analyze data.
  • Correlate measurements with simulation results.
  • Collaborate closely with design, architecture, systems, and software teams.
  • Perform silicon power measurements and correlate with simulations and projections.
  • Work with multi-functional teams to enable use-case power measurements.
  • Improve use-case energy efficiency through tuning of hardware and software settings.
  • Enhance power measurement infrastructure.
