The Embedded Firmware Engineer will join Apple's Wireless Connectivity Silicon team, focusing on the development of embedded firmware for System on a Chip (SoC) bring up and wireless connectivity enablement. This role involves collaboration with product software and manufacturing teams to facilitate RF and PHY calibrations, algorithms, and testing. The engineer will work on debugging real-time systems and support both pre-silicon validation and post-silicon bring-up efforts. The position requires a strong background in embedded systems and firmware development.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 10+ years of industry experience.
• Strong background in embedded firmware development using C and assembly languages.
• Good understanding of embedded wireless communication systems and key RF performance metrics.
• Experience with low-level hardware interfaces and bare-metal software development.
• Fluency in using lab equipment such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
• Proficient in at least one scripting language such as Python, Perl, or Tcl.

• Work closely with product software and manufacturing teams to provide system-level API and firmware functionality.
• Collaborate with RF/Radio design, DVT, PHY, and System engineering teams to define and implement algorithms and protocols.
• Debug real-time systems with limited visibility using development boards and lab equipment.
• Support pre-silicon validation efforts, including simulation and FPGA prototyping.
• Support post-silicon bring-up, validation, and performance characterization.
