Job description
In this role at Apple, you will contribute to the development of image and video core technologies used across a wide range of Apple products. You will work on application, driver, and firmware for image and video compression and processing. The position involves collaborating with multiple teams to develop software features and fix related bugs. Additionally, you will focus on bringing up new hardware platforms and prototyping features for future products.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- Hands-on experience with real-time, embedded software or firmware is necessary.
- Strong software design, problem solving, and debugging skills are essential.
- A detailed understanding of software engineering principles using C and/or C++ is required.
- Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and concurrent programming is needed.
- Video codec-related experience is preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
- Skills in cross-functional collaboration are necessary.
Responsibilities
- Develop software features for applications such as the iPhone/iPad Camera capture and FaceTime.
- Collaborate with multiple teams to implement and enhance software functionalities.
- Fix bugs related to image and video processing software.
- Work on prototyping features for future Apple products.
- Design, improve, and maintain software infrastructure across multiple platforms.
- Write and enhance new testing tools for software validation.
