Job description
This role is for a design verification engineer at Apple, focusing on ensuring bug-free first silicon for IP designs. The engineer will work within a diverse team to develop verification methodologies and environments that enhance product quality. Responsibilities include all phases of pre-silicon verification, from establishing DV methodology to test-writing and debugging. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical subject area.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience or equivalent strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OOP, SystemVerilog, and UVM.
- Strong knowledge in developing scalable and portable test-benches.
- Proven experience with verification methodologies and tools such as simulators and coverage collection.
- Some working experience using LLMs for efficiency and quality.
- Experience with power-aware (UPF) or similar verification methodology.
- Knowledge of one of the scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or TCL.
- Some experience with serial protocols such as PCIe or USB is a plus.
- Knowledge of formal verification methodology is a plus.
- Knowledge of emulation for verification technologies is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Establish DV methodology and develop test plans.
- Develop verification environments including stimulus and checkers.
- Write tests, debug failures, and ensure coverage.
- Develop detailed test and coverage plans based on micro-architecture.
- Track and report DV progress using various metrics.
- Implement verification plans including design and DV environment bring-up.
- Make use of LLM and related technologies to improve execution and quality.
