Job description
As a Mail Intelligence Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in integrating machine learning and AI capabilities into the Mail app across various Apple platforms. Your work will enhance features like Search, Categorization, Summarization, and Composition, making email interactions smarter and more personalized. You will collaborate with machine learning partners and other software teams to shape the future of email. This role requires strong backend client engineering skills and a passion for innovative product development.
Requirements
- Strong object-oriented programming skills in Swift or Objective-C.
- Experience working with SQLite or other databases.
- Experience working with machine learning models and their associated frameworks.
- Knowledge of Internet Mail standards such as MIME, IMAP, SMTP, and POP.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Integrate advanced machine learning and AI capabilities into the Mail app.
- Enhance features such as Search, Categorization, Summarization, and Composition.
- Collaborate with machine learning partners and other software framework teams.
- Diagnose performance, memory, and other issues by analyzing lower levels of the stack.
- Work across multiple layers of the client stack, including databases and persistence layers.
