Job description

The Senior Software Engineer will join the Siri AI Client Platforms Quality Engineering team, focusing on building and evaluating high-quality software and models for Siri and other AI/ML products. This role involves working with large volumes of test data and developing creative solutions to assess the user experience of Siri's AI features. The team values collaboration between quality engineering, product engineering, and program management to ensure high standards and rapid innovation. The engineer will have a direct impact on product decisions and enhancements that benefit millions of users worldwide.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and optimizing large-scale data-driven platforms and frameworks.
  • Thorough understanding of system architecture and large-scale system design.
  • Strong programming skills with Swift, Python, and Shell scripting languages.
  • Experience building dashboards and analytics solutions using tools like Tableau, Grafana, Superset, or Splunk.
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, machine learning, and data science teams.
  • Proficiency with software revision control (e.g. Git) and CI/CD systems (e.g. Jenkins).
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Design, drive, and evaluate automation results that support the qualification of Siri's AI features.
  • Measure qualitative experiences of Siri's responses and interactions beyond pass/fail metrics.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Platform engineers, and program managers to understand Siri's behavior and evolution.
  • Investigate and debug technical and UX problems independently and collaboratively.
  • Drive test triage products, methodologies, and processes.
  • Conduct comprehensive error and deviation analysis to uncover hidden patterns in data.
