  • Direct experience in mixed signal electrical engineering design at either IC or PCB level.
  • Expertise in circuit design and analyses, fluent with Spice-based simulation tools.
  • Hands-on experience in prototype bring-up and debugging, functional verification, and manufacturing support.
  • Experience in electrical engineering validation and characterization tasks, familiar with lab tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of DC-DC power converter design and analysis.
  • Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout design, and BOM creation using ECAD tools.
  • Scripting, data processing, or automation skills, with programming experience in Python, Shell script, Matlab, or similar tools.
  • MSEE or PhD preferred.
  • Experience with high-speed signaling, SI/PI/crosstalk analysis.
  • Experience in FPGA/CPLD/MCU programming and design.
  • Working knowledge of modern display technologies such as LCD, TFT, OLED, and LED is a plus.
  • Experience in consumer electronics and high-volume production.
  • Ability to communicate and present technology updates and project status to executives and functional teams.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in core architecture definition and investigation while collaborating with cross-functional partners.
  • Lead the design of PCB and electrical characterization and validation from prototype through mass production.
  • Analyze and provide feedback on mechanical and thermal constraints impacting electrical engineering design.
  • Run simulations to meet various requirements such as display, touch, and graphics.
  • Participate in cross-functional design reviews as a stakeholder in the overall system design.
  • Provide technical support and debug factory production issues.
  • Communicate and present technology updates and project status to executives and cross-functional teams.
  • Manage project milestones and issues throughout product development builds.
  • Perform failure analysis on electrical, mechanical, and optical issues.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
