Job description

The Apple Silicon GPU Driver Performance team focuses on optimizing GPU performance across Apple's product line. This team engages in all phases of product development, from collaborating with hardware teams to analyzing performance on modern GPU workloads. They develop advanced performance analysis capabilities and assist partners in maximizing GPU efficiency. The role seeks an engineer passionate about enhancing GPU performance and skilled in low-level GPU architecture details.

Requirements

  • Excellent programming skills and knowledge of C/C++
  • Experience with GPU programming using Metal, DirectX, Vulkan, CUDA, Direct Compute, OpenGL, or OpenCL
  • Interest in diagnosing and fixing GPU performance issues
  • Excellent software design and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent system debugging skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Technical BS/MS degree
  • Experience working on all levels of the software stack is a plus
  • Experience developing device drivers for high-performance hardware is a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of CPU or GPU architectures is a plus
  • Game development experience on PC/console is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop technology to enhance the performance of Apple Silicon GPUs
