Job description

The Display Driver team within the Media, Graphics & Compute Technologies organization is seeking a dedicated engineer to enhance display technologies for various Apple products. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver with a strong commitment to excellence. This role involves working on display driver architecture, design, and implementation, while collaborating with internal and external teams. The engineer will also focus on advancing display technologies and managing complex software and hardware debugging efforts.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in display driver development
  • Excellent programming skills and knowledge of C/C++
  • Development experience on Unix, Linux or Mac OS
  • Strong kernel-mode device driver development skills
  • Experience with parallel and asynchronous processing
  • Knowledge of scaling, video formats, and display technology

Responsibilities

  • Own feature design, implementation, debug, and delivery of display technologies on various Apple devices.
  • Participate in driving advances in display technologies, power management, and color management.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop architecture for next-generation display pipelines.
  • Lead complex software and hardware debugging efforts.
  • Implement user-facing critical features and perform complex troubleshooting.
