The SOC Performance Modeling SW Architect will be part of the system-on-chip performance team within Apple's Hardware Technologies organization. This role focuses on shaping the architecture of future devices by collaborating with various teams to deliver high-quality performance models and infrastructure. The architect will ensure timely data production to drive hardware designs and will be involved in the full life-cycle of performance modeling. Attention to performance, maintainability, and flexibility of the simulator is crucial for enabling hardware architects to iterate on experiments effectively.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in hardware architecture and design issues.

• Experience with computer architecture and software engineering principles.

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 20+ years of relevant experience.

• Experience with compiler explorer and understanding compiler transformations.
• Experience with architectural and micro-architectural performance modeling.

• Collaborate with engineers to translate design space studies into software models.
• Develop high-performance C++ models based on hardware execution models.
• Engage in the full life-cycle of performance modeling from exploration to post-silicon correlation.
• Ensure the performance, maintainability, and flexibility of the simulator.
