Job description
The AIML Multimodal Foundation Model Team is focused on developing next-generation intelligent agent technologies that integrate multimodal reasoning and visual understanding. This role involves designing architectures for multimodal agents and building capabilities such as planning and tool-use. The team aims to enhance Apple's search capabilities across various products and create innovative features using generative AI technologies. Candidates will collaborate with researchers and engineers to bring cutting-edge research into practical applications.
Requirements
- PhD, MS, or equivalent experience in a relevant field
- Experience in machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, or natural language processing
- Proficiency in one of the following programming languages: Python, Go, Java, or C++
- Excellent data analytical skills
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team player
- PhD preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop state-of-the-art multimodal foundation models for Apple Intelligence.
- Create various agent capabilities for multimodal LLMs, including computer use agents and visual tool use.
- Fine-tune and evaluate domain-specific foundation models for tasks in Apple's AI-powered products.
- Conduct applied research to transition generative AI research into production-ready technologies.
- Understand product requirements and translate them into modeling and engineering tasks.
