In this role, you will be part of the system-on-chip (SOC) performance team at Apple, focusing on shaping the architecture of future devices. The team emphasizes collaboration between SOC architecture, design, power, and software teams to create world-class caches and memory systems. You will work on performance models and infrastructure to ensure high-quality data for hardware designs. The position requires attention to performance, maintainability, and flexibility of the simulator to facilitate quick iterations on experiments.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Experience in hardware architecture and design issues.
• Experience coding in C++ and Python.
• Experience with computer architecture and software engineering principles.
• Experience with data structures and algorithms.
• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 20+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with multi-paradigm software development in C++.
• Experience with multi-language programming environments.
• Experience with compiler explorer and understanding compiler transformations.
• Experience with architectural and micro-architectural performance modeling.

• Ensure Apple's ability to produce high quality, timely data for hardware designs.
• Collaborate with engineers to translate design space studies into software models.
• Develop high-performance C++ models from the hardware execution model.
• Engage in the full life-cycle of performance modeling from architectural exploration to post-silicon correlation.
