JobsSoC DFT Engineer
Job description
As a DFT engineer in the Silicon Technologies group, you will play a crucial role in designing and manufacturing high-performance, power-efficient processors and systems-on-chip. Your work will ensure that Apple products can efficiently handle tasks that delight millions of users. You will collaborate with various disciplines to impact semiconductor design and contribute to getting functional products to customers quickly. This position involves a comprehensive approach to DFT solutions across all aspects of semiconductor design.
Requirements
- Minimum of a BS degree with 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Knowledge of industrial standards and practices in DFT, including ATPG, JTAG, and MBIST.
- Experience in developing DFT specifications and driving DFT architecture and methods.
- Familiarity with Verilog and/or VHDL, along with experience using simulators and waveform debugging tools.
- Understanding of design verification methodologies for validating DFT implementation in simulation pre-silicon.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement DFT architecture for design projects.
- Implement DFT infrastructure to support semiconductor design.
- Collaborate with the DV team to verify DFT implementations and implement ECOs.
- Generate structural test vectors and analyze and improve coverage.
- Work with designers on STA, physical, power, and logical issues.
- Collaborate with test engineers to bring up test vectors on silicon.
- Run schedules and support multi-functional engineering efforts.
Benefits
- Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
