This position is part of the YouTube Shopping team, which focuses on integrating shopping experiences into the platform. The engineer will leverage machine learning and AI technologies to improve merchant engagement and provide valuable insights. The role emphasizes collaboration with product management and UX teams to create user-centric solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
• 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
• 5 years of experience building and deploying recommendation systems models in production.

• Develop solutions for the complex Creator Recommendation system and other full-stack features for merchants.
• Leverage the YouTube Infrastructure to build software that has better debuggability, performance, and reliability.
• Foster engineering best practices in design, development, testing, code reviews, and agile development.
• Partner with Product Management, UX, and User Experience Research to define product requirements and iterate on designs.
• Work with other engineering teams to deliver merchant experiences.
