Job description
Apple's Product & Design team is looking for a Technical Artist Engineer who possesses a strong procedural and parametric mindset along with a keen aesthetic sensibility. This role focuses on developing generative visual systems and creative code solutions, utilizing tools such as Metal, GLSL, and Three.js. The ideal candidate will work closely with Designers, Developers, and Artists to integrate visual systems into real-time applications. A passion for pushing graphical boundaries and experimenting with new visual languages is essential.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of shader programming and real-time rendering pipelines.
- Experience with Metal Framework and writing Metal Shaders for visual effects.
- Proficient in generative and creative coding using tools like Metal, Processing, and Three.js.
- Knowledge of GPU-driven visuals and custom rendering pipelines.
- Excellent eye for visual design, motion, and spatial aesthetics.
- 3D and Animation experience is a plus.
- Experience with Swift and SwiftUI.
- A sharp eye for UI and interaction design.
Responsibilities
- Develop generative visual systems and creative code solutions.
- Write, optimize, and maintain shaders for visual effects and real-time graphics.
- Prototype interactive graphics driven by parameters and data inputs.
- Collaborate closely with Designers, Developers, and technically-oriented Artists.
- Research and propose new graphical techniques and adaptive rendering styles.
