Job description

The Siri Speech team is seeking a talented Machine Learning Research Engineer to develop ML algorithms for Siri, Dictation, and third-party APIs optimized for Apple Hardware. This role involves productizing modern deep learning techniques and creating innovative products that enhance Machine Learning for Speech Recognition and Synthesis. The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating across teams. You will focus on improving accuracy and personalization while optimizing algorithms for various Apple platforms and devices.

Requirements

  • Expertise in compiled languages such as Swift, C++, or Objective-C
  • Familiarity with model training using PyTorch, JAX, or other frameworks
  • Experience as an applied Machine Learning practitioner
  • Ability to synthesize and productize research ideas for millions of users
  • M.S. or PhD in Computer Science or a related field, or B.S. with equivalent industry experience
