This role focuses on building infrastructure for training and deploying large-scale generative models. Candidates will work closely with a cross-functional team to benchmark and prototype algorithmic choices. The position requires hands-on technical expertise in ML infrastructure, particularly in distributed training of images and videos.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on machine learning.
  • Minimum of 3 years of industry experience.
  • Experience in training and adapting large language models (LLMs).
  • Advanced fluency in PyTorch.
  • Excellent programming skills in Python or C++.
  • Experience contributing software to large projects.
  • Experience with distributed training of large models.
  • Strong fundamentals in Machine Learning.
  • Experience working with large cross-functional and diverse teams.

Responsibilities

  • Develop infrastructure for training, adapting, and deploying large-scale generative models.
  • Collaborate with algorithm design and infrastructure engineers to benchmark and prototype solutions.
  • Steer algorithmic choices to optimize training and deployment infrastructure.
  • Utilize training hardware efficiently for distributed and parallelized training of images and videos.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
