Job description
This position is part of Apple's Machine Learning Research organization, focusing on building technologies that will enhance future products. The team is dedicated to developing scalable, distributed training and research pipelines in collaboration with researchers and software engineers. The role requires a strong background in system engineering and software development, particularly in machine learning algorithms. Candidates will work on high-performance software solutions that address novel ML research challenges.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in C++ and Python numerical computing
- 2 years of low-level programming experience
- 2 years of GPU programming experience
- Experience with open-source projects and collaborative software development
- Experience with machine learning algorithms
- Excellent communication skills
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science with a strong mathematical background
- 3+ years of experience in C++ and Python programming
- 3+ years of expertise in GPU programming
- Experience with Swift programming is a plus
- Past research experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Work with researchers and software engineers on the MLX team to build high-performance and scalable software.
- Apply solid software engineering skills to develop solutions for unexpected challenges.
- Explore research software solutions to advance machine learning toolboxes.
- Contribute to a small team focused on advancing ML algorithms and techniques on Apple silicon.
