Job description
As a GPU Design Engineer in the Silicon Technologies group, you will contribute to the design and manufacture of high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chips. Your work will help ensure that Apple products can efficiently handle complex tasks, enhancing user experience. You will be part of the GPU Memory Hierarchy Design team, focusing on creating innovative GPU solutions. This role requires creativity in problem-solving and the ability to adapt to new technical challenges.
Requirements
- Experience and knowledge of CPU or GPU architecture
- Experience in areas such as cache, on-chip interconnect network, data compression, or GPU pipeline
- Experience in timing and power optimization
- Proficiency in Verilog/System Verilog and HDL
- Minimum of BS degree and 3+ years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of high performance, low power designs
- Experience in debugging performance issues
- Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, and Ruby
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
Responsibilities
- Participate in micro-architecture specification and RTL coding
- Explore architecture trade-offs in performance, area, and power consumption
- Collaborate with the verification team for functional simulation and debugging
- Demonstrate creativity in problem-solving and adapt to new technical areas
