The Senior Product Engineer for Machine Learning Accelerators at Google will be part of a team that develops custom silicon solutions for Google's products. This role focuses on driving the innovation behind hardware experiences that enhance performance and efficiency. The Machine Learning Supply Chain and Operations team is responsible for deploying Machine Learning capacity across Google's fleet, ensuring operational excellence. The engineer will work on complex problems to bring designs to life and support the evolution of artificial intelligence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in manufacturing.
- Experience in PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) and related system assembly.
- Experience in design for manufacturability and serviceability.
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or a related engineering field is preferred.
- 10 years of experience at a company developing supply chains in manufacturing and testing.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technology assessment for new products and influence design decisions.
- Collaborate with Quality and Reliability Engineers to establish New Product Introduction goals.
- Validate product qualification plans and support reliability testing.
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve components and build quality issues during New Product Introduction phases.
- Provide on-site and remote support for pre-production builds and ensure factory readiness.
