Job description
The Apple Information Security organization is looking for an information security engineer to enhance security solutions and provide security insights from data. This role involves collaboration with various teams to innovate and implement new features while navigating a dynamic environment. The engineer will leverage expertise in both offensive and defensive security domains to deliver meaningful outcomes. The position requires a self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills and a results-driven mindset.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of work experience.
- More than 5 years of applied experience in an operational cyber security role, such as Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, or Vulnerability Management.
- Experience interpreting threat and vulnerability details and devising identification methods in endpoint, network, and application.
- Experience with security tools and technologies such as XDR, IDS/IPS, and EDR.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to design, develop, and deliver proof of concept solutions.
- Experience in Data and Analytics using technologies like Pandas or Spark.
- Experience in programming using an object-oriented language.
- Experience applying and experimenting with AI/ML to solve security-related use cases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP and their security services is a plus.
