Job description

The role is focused on enhancing Siri and Apple products by developing the necessary data and infrastructure for machine learning. As part of the Data and Tooling team, you will collaborate closely with various teams including ML Modeling, Infrastructure, Software, Hardware, and Operations. The position requires a strong background in computer science and experience with technologies such as Python and Cloud Infrastructure. You will take ownership of services and data products throughout their lifecycle, ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Requirements

  • At least 4+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong background in computer science, including algorithms, data structures, and system design.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with Python, Docker, Cloud Infrastructure, and Spark.
  • Expertise in developing and debugging software service stacks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work independently and cross-functionally.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Familiarity with popular ML frameworks like Pytorch or Tensorflow.
  • Experience with workflow orchestrators like Airflow or Kubeflow.
  • Experience in developing tools and services to optimize ML systems beyond model selection.

Responsibilities

  • Create the data and infrastructure ecosystem needed to support ML development.
  • Drive services and data products through all stages, including conception, design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with ML Modeling teams and other cross-functional teams to solve complex problems.
  • Take full end-to-end ownership of services and data products.
