Job description
The Design Verification Engineer at Apple is responsible for ensuring the functionality and performance of Apple's premier SoCs. This role involves working closely with the digital custom circuits team to deliver bug-free custom IPs for various SoCs. The engineer will review design specifications and translate them into comprehensive test benches. This position is critical for collaborating with multiple teams to achieve high-quality results and expedite the market readiness of functional products.
Requirements
- BS degree plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
- DV skills including random verification process, functional coverage, and assertion methodology.
- Knowledge of Verilog/System Verilog and digital simulation tools.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Perl or Python.
- Familiarity with behavioral and structural RTL coding, especially related to SRAM and register file designs.
- Knowledge of industry standard design tools, such as ESPCV and/or LEC.
- Experience with regression and revision control tools.
- DFT (ATPG/MBIST) knowledge is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Verify the functionality and performance of custom IPs for Apple SoCs.
- Review design and architecture specifications to understand use cases.
- Translate specifications into test benches that include stimulus, checkers, and coverage.
- Collaborate with custom circuit designers and RTL designers to meet design goals.
- Run and triage regressions, track bugs, and analyze coverage.
- Ensure all pre-silicon deliveries of custom IPs are bug-free.
