The Software Architecture team within the Vision Products Group at Apple is looking for an exceptional software engineer to help architect and implement cross-device frameworks and APIs. This role focuses on enhancing the capabilities and performance of Vision products through the development of distributed systems and frameworks. The ideal candidate will work on innovative approaches to multimedia streaming, distributed AI workloads, and computer vision applications. This position also offers the opportunity to prototype new services and applications while collaborating with other teams throughout Apple.

• 2+ years of developing software frameworks and APIs
• Solid understanding of network programming
• Knowledgeable about network protocols and frameworks such as TCP/IP, UDP, and QUIC
• Interest in multimedia, AIML, and/or distributed systems
• Exposure to mobile device and embedded development
• Knowledgeable about system level programming concepts
• Strong command of object-oriented programming, preferably in Swift or C++
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Familiarity with Gen AI coding tools and demonstrated ability to use them for design, code generation, and debugging
• BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in multimedia, AIML, or computer vision
• Experience or interest in real-time media transport such as WebRTC
• Experience or interest in AR/VR applications
• Experience with iOS or macOS application development
