Job description
The role involves leading the architecture of the SoC display subsystem within Apple's Platform Architecture team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in chip architecture and display subsystems.
Requirements
- BS degree in a relevant field
- Experience in chip architecture, display subsystem architecture, and/or design
- 20+ years of relevant industry experience in signal/image processing
- MS or PhD degree is preferred
- Understanding of SoC display sub-system architecture, interface, performance, and energy tradeoffs
- Expertise in memory subsystem, memory interface, and DMA
- Strong communication skills with cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture of the SoC display subsystem
- Oversee memory fabric interface and data pipe flow controls
- Implement memory compression and display interfaces
- Collaborate with engineers to develop algorithms and architectures
- Ensure high performance and energy efficiency in display subsystem design
