Job description
The role is focused on enhancing Siri and Apple products through applied machine learning and software engineering. The Siri and Information Intelligence team aims to revolutionize user experiences by leveraging generative AI techniques. Candidates will work collaboratively with diverse teams to develop innovative features and mentor aspiring engineers. The position requires a strong background in machine learning and software engineering to deliver optimal user experiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 6+ years of industry-related experience in collaborative environments.
- Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX for training and deploying deep learning models.
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages such as C/C++, Go, Python, or Java.
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge and prior experience with deep learning and GenAI frameworks are desired.
Responsibilities
- Leverage and enhance advancements in machine learning and software engineering.
- Develop world-class evaluation techniques for model responses.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, quality, data, product, and design teams to create exceptional search experiences.
- Mentor aspiring applied scientists and engineers to broaden their impact.
- Build machine-learned models for search relevance ranking and query understanding.
