• 6+ years of experience in cloud engineering
• Experience with load balancing technologies such as Nginx and Envoy
• Familiarity with networking, security, logging, and application monitoring
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to coach and mentor other individual contributors
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or 10 years of equivalent work experience
• Experience developing in Go, Python, or similar programming languages

• Ensure the highest level of uptime and quality of service to Apple's customers through operational quality.
• Design, maintain, and improve global production traffic infrastructure.
• Take ownership of reliability issues using a wide variety of tools.
• Identify areas to improve service resiliency through techniques such as chaos engineering, performance/load testing, and game days.
• Navigate the complexities of the business and service reliability.
