The role of a screening & integration engineer on the Generative AI Experiences Software team at Apple involves reviewing and triaging incoming bugs, analyzing logs, and determining the priority of issues. Requirements
- Strong software engineering and development life cycle knowledge
- Advanced experience with version control systems, specifically git
- Experience in programming or scripting, such as Bash, Shell, or Python
- Basic understanding of macOS and iOS
- Experience with Xcode and Apple internal development practices
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Support developers for triage and analysis of issues
- Collaborate on tools that support and automate processes for screening issues in our software
- Maintain branching for software repositories
- Maintain documentation of features for the team
- Monitor communications in screening chat rooms
- Run reviews for development teams to keep issues moving through our system
- Escalate appropriately issues found in screening to development engineers
