Job description

The role of a screening & integration engineer on the Generative AI Experiences Software team at Apple involves reviewing and triaging incoming bugs, analyzing logs, and determining the priority of issues. This position requires excellent communication skills due to high interaction with engineering teams and management. The engineer will also integrate software with the broader operating system and gain extensive knowledge of the area of focus. Requirements

  • Strong software engineering and development life cycle knowledge
  • Advanced experience with version control systems, specifically git
  • Experience in programming or scripting, such as Bash, Shell, or Python
  • Basic understanding of macOS and iOS
  • Experience with Xcode and Apple internal development practices
  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Support developers for triage and analysis of issues
  • Collaborate on tools that support and automate processes for screening issues in our software
  • Maintain branching for software repositories
  • Maintain documentation of features for the team
  • Monitor communications in screening chat rooms
  • Run reviews for development teams to keep issues moving through our system
  • Escalate appropriately issues found in screening to development engineers
