Job description
The GPU Design Verification Engineer will play a crucial role in the pre-silicon RTL verification of sub-units in the Apple GPU. This position requires a deep understanding of micro-architectural details and how they integrate within the broader GPU design. The role offers an opportunity to enhance expertise in software engineering and graphics hardware architecture. As part of the GPU Design Verification team, you will collaborate closely with design team members to ensure the functionality and performance of the GPU components.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with Hardware Description Languages like Verilog or System Verilog.
- Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming Languages and Data Structures.
- Background in CPU or GPU architecture.
- Knowledge of GPU pipeline architecture.
- Experience in design verification coursework with verification languages such as SystemVerilog.
- Familiarity with HDL simulators and waveform viewers.
- Strong fundamental software and programming skills.
- Experience with Perl, Ruby, Shell scripting, and Makefiles.
Responsibilities
- Author test plans for block level functionality.
- Architect and develop highly complex verification software components.
- Work closely with design team members to debug and close the blocks owned.
- Develop testbenches for sub-blocks, blocks, and subsystems containing multiple blocks.
