Job description
The Front-End Methodology CAD Engineer will be part of Apple's Silicon Technologies group, focusing on developing and improving automation software for RTL design teams. This role involves promoting reliable workflows and ensuring proper methodologies are followed for project milestones. The engineer will also support the development of RTL analysis applications and Generative AI solutions to enhance design team experiences. The position emphasizes collaboration within a motivated CAD team to maintain high-quality flows for Apple Silicon chip production.
Requirements
- Minimum of a BS degree with 10 years of relevant experience
- Expertise in programming in Python and Perl
- Knowledge of Verilog and SystemVerilog
- Understanding of Front-End RTL Construction and Analysis workflows
- Experience with EDA tools in Clock Domain Crossing, Reset Domain Crossing, and Lint
- Excellent communication, debugging, and root cause analysis skills
- Prior customer support experience
- Knowledge of TCL
- Experience in leading large-scale software system development from specification to deployment
- MSEE/CE/CS preferred
Responsibilities
- Promote a reliable work environment for developing and maintaining automation software.
- Support and develop RTL analysis applications for SoCs across multiple design sites.
- Ensure the right flows are used at the right time for project milestones.
- Curate internal training materials and coordinate vendor trainings for Designer/DV engineers.
- Foster high-quality flows that enable Apple Silicon to produce chips for Apple's best products.
