The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will join the Apple Intelligence Data Platform team, focusing on developing and integrating foundational components for on-device and cloud-based intelligence. This role involves building scalable, privacy-conscious machine learning systems that enhance user experiences across Apple's ecosystem. The engineer will collaborate with various teams to power innovative features like Siri Suggestions and Writing Tools. This position is ideal for candidates with expertise in generative AI and machine learning.

• 5+ years of increasing responsibility and relevant experience
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, Data Science or a related field
• Experience in Knowledge Graphs, RAG systems, and integration of LLMs with external memories
• Excellent software design, problem solving, critical thinking and collaborative skills
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, C++, or Swift
• MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field
• Deep understanding of machine learning and deep learning algorithms
• Experience in LLM, machine learning, deep learning, information retrieval or natural language processing
• Strong analytical and independent problem-solving skills
• Experience working in cross-functional teams across product, design, and infrastructure
