Job description

The Senior Audio Software Engineer will be part of the Audio team within Apple's Vision Products Group, focusing on advancing Spatial Audio for the Apple Vision Pro. This role involves investigating and defining architectures for Spatial Audio and leading the development of these features. The engineer will collaborate broadly across Apple to bring innovative audio experiences to life. Additionally, mentoring other engineers and fostering future leadership within the team will be key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of industry experience.
  • Deep knowledge of C/C++ and Design Patterns that scale.
  • Proven focus on Test Driven Development and quality documentation.
  • Experience working in Audio Architectures and common Digital Signal Processing for audio.
  • Understanding of software optimization tools and techniques.
  • Experience in the Apple developer ecosystem, including Objective-C, Swift, and Xcode.
  • Proven track record of technical leadership.
  • AudioUnit plugin development experience.
  • Embedded software experience.
