Job description
The SAP Application Engineer - ABAP role at Apple is focused on designing, developing, and maintaining software solutions that enhance key business processes within the IS&T organization's SAP Development Team. This team plays a crucial role in supporting essential enterprise applications that drive Apple's core functions, including Retail, Services, Finance, Sales, and Operations. The position requires a passionate engineer who embraces innovation and is eager to work on SAP Retail projects utilizing new technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ABAP development and a strong understanding of modern SAP technologies.
Requirements
- 4 years of ABAP development experience in SAP projects focusing on technical development, code analysis, code remediation, system integration, and testing.
- 4 years hands-on programming experience with SAP ABAP RICEFW objects, OData/SOAP web services, HANA stored procedures, AMDP, Restful ABAP programming, and side-by-side extensibility.
- 4 years development experience in Forms including Adobe Forms, Smart Forms, and SAP Scripts.
- Bachelor's degree in a business, finance, technology (STEM), or other similar field of study.
- Development experience with tools like SAP ADT (Eclipse IDE), Business Application Studio, and Postman.
Responsibilities
- Write and review technical design options to leverage new coding methods in SAP.
- Work on ECC to S/4 HANA migration projects.
- Focus on Test Driven Development, design-thinking, and craftsmanship while delivering business-critical projects.
- Explore newer technologies like ABAP Cloud, Restful ABAP Programming Model, and Git-enabled Change and Transport System (gCTS).
- Collaborate with software vendors and SAP on co-innovation ideas.
