The Software Architecture team within the Vision Products Group at Apple is looking for a senior software engineer to architect and implement cross-device frameworks and APIs. This role focuses on enhancing the capabilities and performance of Vision products through the development of distributed systems and frameworks. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills and experience in creating foundational frameworks and APIs. This position also offers opportunities to prototype new services and applications while collaborating with various teams across Apple.

• 6+ years of developing software frameworks and APIs
• Excellent working knowledge of network programming
• Strong understanding of network protocols and frameworks such as TCP/IP, UDP, and QUIC
• Experience in multimedia, AIML, and/or distributed systems
• Track record of mobile device and embedded development
• Experience writing daemons and/or multi-threaded software
• Working knowledge of system level programming concepts
• Strong command of object-oriented programming, preferably in Swift or C++
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of data-driven architectural decisions
• Familiarity with Gen AI coding tools for design, code generation, and debugging
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with wireless connectivity standards and best practices
• Experience or interest in real-time media transport such as WebRTC
• Experience developing for resource constrained systems
• Experience or interest in AR/VR applications
• Experience with iOS or macOS application development
